MISSION STATEMENT
A Place For Everyone At The Table
Ward 1 is the heart of Annapolis, and the people of Ward 1 are its heartbeat. We must embrace that understanding and the responsibility that it comes with. We thrive as a whole only as the people thrive, and we can only do so with a rich and vibrant diversity of people that can share their unique experiences to help make Ward 1 and Annapolis the amazing place that it is to live and work.
We must make this a community that welcomes and encourages local and small business owners, as those are truly the places that make Annapolis and Ward 1 such a unique and amazing place to live and visit.
We must work to make Ward 1 an affordable place to live, because if its citizens have to consistently choose between being able to pay rent or grabbing dinner at a restaurant, even the best run businesses cannot survive.
As the heart of Annapolis, Ward 1 cannot function without hope, and every citizen of it deserves to have that opportunity for hope, not just its most advantaged citizens.
